Liberal Tolerance Update: Lefty YouTubers Attack

I'll be checking in later today with a few choice examples of today's dose of liberal peace and love but in the mean time, have a look at the comments yourself. Notice also how many of these left-wingers blindly rate us "one-star" just because NewsBusted is conservative.

To former Zale execs, Dunkin' Donuts is a gem

Tobolowsky and Billy Gutow, previously senior vice president of Zale real estate development, have made millions building and selling Blockbuster Entertainment franchise stores in the Washington, D.C., area and Palm Beach Tan salons in Las Vegas.

McCain apologizes for Bill Cunningham's Obama comments

Sen. John McCain quickly denounced comments Cincinnati radio host Bill Cunningham made about Sen. Barack Obama, during McCain's local appearance Tuesday.

Cunningham, who hosts a conservative talk show on WLW-AM, made opening remarks prior to McCain's speech at Memorial Hall in Over-the-Rhine. According to numerous media reports, Cunningham pointedly referred to the Democratic candidate by his full name, Barack Hussein Obama, called him a "hack" and suggested he received "sweetheart deals" as a Chicago politician.

McCain, immediately after his speech, told reporters he didn't know about the remarks beforehand, but he repudiated them, according to a National Public Radio report.

"My entire campaign I have treated Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton with respect," McCain said.

Electric chair, likened to torture, declared unconstitutional

Connolly said physicians determined the man was still alive after the first jolt. A second jolt was administered, causing heavy brown smoke to fill the room, the judge said."This shows the current protocol will continue the mutilation of prisoners’ bodies," he wrote. "It also supports the district court’s conclusion that some prisoners will be tortured during electrocutions."Connolly said the court could not rule the electric chair unconstitutional under the U.S. Constitution, since that court has sanctioned its use.But the federal court’s rulings on the electric chair, based on the one it rendered in the 1890 New York case, were based on an "equal protection," or 14th Amendment analysis, and not an Eighth Amendment one, Connolly said."Therefore, the Court did not decide the (New York) case under the Eighth Amendment and there was scant evidence about electrocution in 1890," Connolly wrote. He said the U.S.

Iowa farmers hope to sow seeds of agritourism

Dianna and Loren Engelbrecht never thought visitors would travel six or seven hours from Chicago and pay to spend a weekend on their Fredericksburg farm.

They were wrong. Not only do urbanites want to visit their Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast, they wake up at 5 a.m. to perform chores.

Illinois resident Debbie Dewane booked a stay on the farm for herself and her two sons.

2 editors' online journal gives new life to literature

The Wiegers hire is the equivalent of the Giants signing Barry Zito.

The publication also includes original nonfiction, classic reprints, place-oriented tales called Readers Narratives and a First and Second Looks section of excerpted novels, stories and nonfiction.

A symbiotic life

Like many couples who have been married for 20 years, Edgarian and Jenks finish each other's sentences and even sometimes speak in unison. But their work relationship is even more symbiotic. Not only do they edit the magazine together, they tend to edit manuscripts in tandem, formulating what Jenks calls the "ideal version of the work."

Having two editors is most writers' version of hell, but those who work with Jenks and Edgarian seem to be grateful for the critical double-blast.

Barack Obama - a John Kennedy for our times

It would probably not be in its interest to secure the election of Senator John McCain. Al-Qaeda may be unpredictable, but it would be a mistake for it to interfere in American politics, even if it had the capacity to do so.

At the start of the primaries, when all eyes were on Iowa and New Hampshire, Senator Clinton was the frontrunner for the Democratic Party nomination. She had the organisation, she had the money, she had the name recognition, she had the professionalism; she even had Bill Clinton, even if he is something of an unguided missile.

But those days are now long ago. Senator Clinton has fallen behind Senator Obama in almost all of these factors, except for Bill Clinton's support. Senator Obama has captured the public's imagination, and gone ahead in the polls, but he also has more money, a better organisation and valuable endorsements from all sectors of the Democratic spectrum.

Mansion 'mistake' piles the pressure on Barack Obama

He and his mother recieved death threats because Tavis Smiley criticized Obama for not coming to the event (unlike Sen. Clinton who was also invited). Death threats for an opinion !! It is a very frightening time in America and reminds me of the dangerous past leaders who whipped up hysterical masses and created chaos.

Bernard Kerik Enters 'Not Guilty' Plea in Response to Federal ...

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Bernard Kerik, former New York City police commissioner and failed nominee to head the Department of Homeland Security, on Friday pleaded not guilty to federal corruption and tax fraud charges, which were announced in an unsealed indictment.

Kerik had surrendered to authorities earlier in the day, and entered his plea in federal district court shortly after noon.

In a news conference Friday with Justice Department and Internal Revenue Service officials, Kerik was painted as a man who used his position as New York's top cop, as well as the city jail commissioner, to gain financially. And officials said he lied to conceal shady dealings with mob-connected businessmen when he applied for his DHS job.
